Mississauga’s Gamal Guirguis had to check his Ontario 49 Encore ticket a few times to make sure he wasn’t imagining things.

But it didn’t take him long to realize he had won $100,000 by matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order on his April 21 ticket.

Guirguis, 66, said he was shocked to see the “Big Winner” screen appear on his phone when he checked the numbers on his OLG app.

“I had to check the ticket a few times to be sure,” Guirguis, a regular Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49 and Ontario 49 player, said while collecting his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I always add Encore.”

Guirguis, who is married, said he plans to share the money with his daughters and pay down his mortgage.

The winning ticket was bought at Kitchen Food Fair, on Braydon Blvd. in Brampton.
