Police are trying to piece together the events surrounding the death of a Mississauga man last week in Sarnia.

The OPP’s criminal investigation branch (CIB) wants to speak with anyone who had contact with Lance Richardson, 31, of Mississauga in the days leading up to his death.

His body was found on Dec. 28 on Watson St. in Sarnia.

Earlier the same day, Lambton County OPP discovered the remains of another person in the town of Petrolia, in Enniskillen Township, southeast of Sarnia.

Responding to a suspicious person call just before 2:30 p.m., police found a body on Crooked Rd., in Petrolia.

That call then led police to the discovery of Richardson.

Police say one of the bodies was found inside a home while the other was discovered in a vehicle. However, they didn’t say where Richardson’s body was located.

The identity of the first person found dead has yet to be determined, according to police.

Anyone who had contact with Richardson in the days prior to his death, or has information on either of the incidents, is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122.

Anonymous tips can be forwarded to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.sarnialambtoncrimestoppers.org.
