A Mississauga man is facing first-degree murder charges in the April 30 shooting death of another man inside a Brampton restaurant/bar.

Ricardo Bryan, 30, was shot multiple times just before 1:30 a.m. while inside what Peel Regional Police describe as a “food and beverage establishment” in the Kennedy Rd./Sandalwood Pkwy. area.

He died in hospital four days later.

Police haven’t said where Bryan was from, but they said earlier they believe he was the intended target of the shooting.

On Tuesday (June 14), police arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting.

Carl Anthony Khan, 26, of Mississauga, is charged with first-degree murder.

He appeared in Brampton court today (June 15).

“Gun violence is an unfortunate reality which carries devastating impacts on our communities. Our service is committed to preventing those outcomes. When this isn’t possible, we are equally committed to holding those responsible accountable for the harm their actions cause,” said Peel police Deputy Chief Nick Milinovich.
