Mississauga Man Arrested in Relation to Three Sexual Assault Cases

Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a Mississauga man for three separate sexual assault incidents.

Matthew Webster, 21, of Mississauga was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual assault on Friday, May 24. Webster was held for a bail hearing which he attended at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 24, 2019.

The sexual assaults he is allegedly believed to be involved with are:

  • On Monday, February 4, 2019, a female victim was sexually assaulted after exiting a transit bus. She was walking in the area of Rathburn Road East and Meadows Boulevard in Mississauga when she was assaulted.

  • On Monday, February 11, 2019, a second victim was sexually assaulted shortly after exiting a transit bus. She was walking in the area of Karen Park Crescent and Cliff Road North in Mississauga when she was assaulted.

  • On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, a third victim was sexually assaulted when she exited the transit bus. She was walking in the area of Bristol Road West and Mclaughlin Road in Mississauga when she was assaulted.

Investigators were able to secure transit surveillance footage showing the male and the victims on the buses prior to the assaults.

Investigators believe that additional victims may exist.
