Many people woke up this morning to find they had no internet service in Mississauga as part of a Rogers outage across Canada.
As of noon on Friday (July 8), the issue was continuing.
@Rogers Why is there no internet in Mississauga? Are you aware of this and is Rogers working on this? When will service be restored?

Those in search of a cafe to work out of found they couldn’t even pay with debit because of the Rogers outage.
A sign in a Mississauga Starbucks proclaimed the coffee shope could only take cash because of the issues with debit machines.
“Dear Mississauga residents. Starbucks has a BIG A** SIGN THAT SAYS CASH ONLY. DUE TO NATIONWIDE OUTAGE FOR DEBIT MACHINES,” one person tweeted.
But there is some good news. Mississauga Library reported that branches across the city are open with wifi working.
Need access to a wifi or a computer today? All library locations are up and running. The only service affected are the mobile hotspots. Call your library if you have any questions. https://t.co/RdI3pKFiVP
