For the week of Jan. 9 to 15, Mississauga had three postal codes in the top 50 for highest COVID-19 positivity, while Brampton had seven.

According to ICES, Ontario’s overall positivity for the week of Jan. 9 to 15 has fallen to 22.0%, with 480 postal codes reporting positivity of 10% or higher (down 20 from last week).

ICES also says case counts reported since December 31, 2021 represent an underestimate of the true number of individuals with COVID-19, due to changes in eligibility for SARS-CoV-2 PCR testing.
