For the week of Jan. 2 to 8, Mississauga had one postal code in the top 50 for highest COVID-19 positivity, while Brampton had four.

According to ICES, Ontario’s overall positivity for the week of Jan. 2 to 8 was 25.6%, with at least 500 postal codes reporting positivity of 10% or higher.

ICES also says case counts reported since December 31, 2021 represent an underestimate of the true number of individuals with COVID-19, due to changes in eligibility for SARS-CoV-2 PCR testing.
