If you feel it’s too early for that champagne-like fizz then try it for brunch or go for the latte flights instead. Both are earning rave reviews from fans of Goldies Café + Eatery, a breakfast and lunch hotspot in the Baywood Centre in Ajax.
Opened in 2019, the restaurant focuses on excellent service and a limited but high quality menu which includes wraps, sandwiches, soups and flatbreads for lunch and extensive breakfast options, along with the much celebrated mimosa and latte flights.
Mimosa flavours include orange, mango, apple grape, cranberry apple, cranberry, grapefruit, pineapple and pomegranate.
Latte flights
Latte options are vanilla, sugar-free vanilla, chocolate, pumpkin spice, hazelnut, toffee nut, cinnamon, peppermint, Irish cream and toasted marshmallow.

The service at Goldies also includes catering packages, with bakeshop boxes, sandwich and wrap platters & boxed lunches, appetizers & bites, hot meals and charcuterie boards on the menu.
Daily specials feature $10 Deals of the Day, such as a Montreal smoked meat sandwich and a side (Wednesday) or waffles and fresh fruit board (Sunday).
Chicken pesto & baked brie with 7-grain salad and berry berry sweet tea
Breakfast options include sandwiches like pesto chicken flatbread and applewood smoked ham and Swiss and lunch choices include salads, soups – from lobster bisque to roasted tomato and smoked gouda – and delicious sides like Tuscan herb potato wedges.
Those with a sweet tooth are not forgotten as Goldies has a loaded bakeshop with items like strawberry & cream Danish, butter croissants, fresh scones and cheesecakes.
