May 1 Weather: Sunny start to day before possible rain in southern Ontario

If you’re heading out Wednesday afternoon (May 1) in Mississauga and the GTA, you may want to keep that umbrella in hand.
After a sunny start to the day, the clouds are expected to roll in by the early afternoon and there’ll be a 30 percent chance of showers by late afternoon, according to the latest forecast from Environment Canada.
Fog patches overnight will dissipate tomorrow morning with the wind becoming southwest at 20 km/h and gusting to 40 km/h by the afternoon.
A high of 18 degrees Celsius is expected with the UV index at 8 or extremely high.
The partly cloudy skies will remain into the evening with a 30 percent chance of rain before it begins to clear later in the night.
Winds will be southwest at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h early in the night and then become northwest at 20 km/h and gusting to 40 km/h in the late evening before becoming light after midnight.
An overnight low of 10 degrees Celsius is expected.
