Shoppers who love scoring incredible brand name clothes, shoes, and accessories for less (way less–up to 80 per cent off) are in luck–Styledemocracy’s annual Nordstrom Warehouse Sale is slated to take over Mississauga’s International Centre in April.
The absolutely massive sale–slated to run from Monday, April 10 to Monday, April 17–will provide a one-of-a-kind shopping experience over the Easter long weekend and offer consumers a ton of selection in the way of clothing, footwear, outerwear, accessories and handbags.
And incredible all-season product selection aside, what’s better than being able to shop on Good Friday and Easter Sunday/Monday when many other retailers are closed for the holiday?
Styledemocracy has been organizing the sale for some time now, bringing it to shoppers in Montreal and Vancouver as well.
“We’ve been working with Nordstrom for three years now and this will be our ninth event in that timeframe. We’ve done the sales in Montreal, Vancouver and the majority have been at the International Centre in Mississauga,” explains Oliver Berg, director of inventory solutions and events with Styledemocracy. “This is is our third Easter weekend sale.”
While shoppers will be able to access a range of fashion-forward goods at affordable prices, consumers in the market for some higher end goods will also be able to peruse some more luxurious offerings.
The event will boast a high-end boutique with its own set of registers and a plethora of pieces from premium designer brands. Shoppers looking for statement pieces can find goods from Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone, Burberry, Armani, Stella McCartney and many more famous designer brands.
But while shoppers with a taste for the finer things in life will no doubt be satisfied by the high-end boutique, consumers looking for great deals will also be more than pleased with the selection, for the entire family.
“You can find some huge gems,” says Berg. “It’s part of the fun. It’s almost like a treasure hunt.” “You’ll find t-shirts and button downs from sme of the most popular brands for $20 to $40, or less. The sale offers a combination of Nordstrom’s house brands, so you get a mix of clothing for all seasons. It’s good for people looking for nice outerwear for next season.”
So, how does one best navigate the sale?
Styledemocracy has a few recommendations, including keeping your schedule open, bringing friends who are just as passionate about shopping as you (tepid consumers might not be the best buying buddies), coming in later to enjoy the experience at its quietest, coming in with a budget in mind, shopping in the designer section first and more.
The brand also has a few deals on tap for loyal readers.
“We always give our email subscribers an additional 10 per cent off on opening day,” says Berg.
You can sign up here to become a Styledemocracy INsider and lock down that discount–which will come in very handy when you’re shopping for an on-point handbag that might be a bit of a splurge for you.
Styledemocracy is also hosting a contest that you can participate in on Facebook. The brand is giving away two $500 shopping sprees, and all contestants have to do to qualify is “like” the contest and tag two friends.
Perks aside, the bustling sale allows Canadians to access items from a popular American department store that’s just starting to get a foothold in the ever-growing Canadian retail scene. It’s an exciting opportunity for any style enthusiast who wants something special for less.
“People are getting insane deals, up to 80 per cent off regular items,” says Berg. “There’s clothing for men, women, kids – every clothing category for the whole family.”
