March 28 Weather: Sunny, clear and warm today in southern Ontario

Mr. Blue Sky is living in the GTA today.

After several rainy and overcast days, the sun is back after it had to hide away for so long.

According to Environment Canada sensors, by 6 a.m. skies will be clear ahead of sunrise at around 7:30 a.m.

Despite the sunshine, the day will be brisk starting at approximately -3 degrees. However, temperatures will rise throughout the day until it peaks at 9 degrees by 5 p.m.

Though the day will be mostly sunny, there will be a bit of cloud coverage between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Skies will totally clear again around 5 p.m. but some cloud will return by 8 p.m.

Winds will remain low throughout the day, starting at about 10 km/h. Though by 3 p.m. they will rise to about 30 km/h. Past that gusts will begin to reach 40 km/h.

Friday will continue this trend being mostly sunny with a bit of cloud. Things will get a just bit warmer though.
