Man who spit on Brampton Transit bus driver in Mississauga sought by police

The Peel police have released a description of a suspect who spit on a Brampton Transit operator and other transit riders in Mississauga last week.

A week ago Wednesday, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 11, a man was attempting to board a Brampton Transit Bus in the area of Rathburn Road West and Duke of York Boulevard in Mississauga. The male became angry and was asked to leave the bus.

“The male spat on the Transit Operator and is believed his spittle landed on other transit riders in the vicinity,” Peel Regional Police said in a press release.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s who has a light complexion and a medium build. He had bleached-blond short hair and was wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans. He was carrying a black side bag.

Anyone with any information on this incident or believes they were a victim in this occurrence is asked to contact the Peel Regional Police 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121 ext. 1133.
