Police have released new photos of a man who’s wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his parents at their Mississauga home late last week.

In making the images available on Friday afternoon, Peel Regional Police hope it will lead to the capture of Jordan Sangwin, 46, who has evaded authorities since his parents — Carol Sangwin, 70, and Garwood “Gary” Sangwin, 71 — were found suffering from life-threatening injuries at their Briarwood Avenue home in Port Credit on the evening of June 18.

Both were rushed to hospital, where they died a short time later. Police haven’t said how the couple was killed.

Sangwin, who investigators say should be considered armed and dangerous, was last spotted this past Monday night, June 22, at 11 p.m. near High Park in Toronto, police said.

They added he’s believed to be travelling on foot.

Police urge anyone who sees the wanted man to not approach him, but instead call 911 right away.

Police describe Sangwin as having a medium build, short salt-and-pepper hair and being clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a grey long-sleeved shirt, dark shorts and carrying a black duffel bag.

Investigators also said that anyone who helps, harbours or conceals a person wanted by police could face criminal charges.

The deaths of the older couple have shaken the Port Credit community, where friends and neighbours remembered Carol and Gary Sangwin as caring and devoted family members.

A fundraiser launched to support surviving family members described the couple as beloved parents and grandparents whose loss has left relatives and friends heartbroken.

Peel police continue to urge Sangwin to seek legal counsel and surrender to authorities.

Anyone with information about Sangwin’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately or Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
