Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with the death of his parents in Mississauga.
The couple, reportedly in their 70s, were found in critical, life-threatening condition at a home on Briarwood Avenue in the area of Hurontario Street and Lakeshore Road East in Port Credit shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday, Peel Regional Police said.
In an update overnight, police told reporters that the couple had been pronounced dead.
Police have not confirmed the cause of death, but said no firearms were used.
On Friday morning, police confirmed that they are still searching for 46-year-old Jordan Sangwin. A Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com, Sangwin is the couple’s son.
Police warned the public not to approach him.
“Considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach, please call 911 if seen,” Peel police said in an update issued Thursday night.
Sangwin is described as a white male, five-foot-10, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, checkered shorts and a baseball cap.
