Man wanted in Ajax, Oshawa convenience store robberies, Whitby car theft

Nathan Paddock is wanted in connection to two convenience store robberies in Ajax and Oshawa and a car theft in Whitby.

A man police believe responsible for a string of robberies in Ajax, Oshawa and Whitby is wanted under an arrest warrant.

Durham Regional Police announced the warrant on April 1 for Nathan Paddock, 34-years-old of no fixed address in connection to two convenience store robberies and a car theft.

Investigators allege Paddock robbed the Foodmart convenience store on Westney Rd in Ajax on March 20, and then the Glovers Convenience store on Simcoe St N in Oshawa a week later, March 27. Paddock is also wanted in connection to the theft of a car from a Whitby home that day.

Police announced the Foodmart robbery on March 21. In this incident a man walked into the store armed with a knife and what police believe to be pepper spray around 6:30 p.m. The man sprayed the clerk with the pepper spray, stole a wad of lottery tickets, and ran from the store.

The clerk was later taken to hospital to treat facial injuries from the spray.

Paddock is charged with numerous charges including; two counts of robbery, three counts of weapons dangerous, administration of a noxious substance, assault with a weapon, two counts of disguise with intent, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle and six counts of failure to comply with probation.
