Man steals scooter from Burlington store and gets away after ‘brief foot chase’

The search is on for a male suspect who stole a scooter from a Canadian Tire retail store in Burlington last month.

Halton Regional Police are looking for a man they say  grabbed a motorized scooter valued at $250 from a Canadian Tire, located at 777 Guelph Line, just after 2 p.m. on July 4 and took off.

Police say he was confronted by employees, but managed to get away after a brief foot chase.

The suspect is described by Halton Police as being between 40 to 45 years old, five-foot-nine to five-foot-11 and weighing in at approximately 200 pounds.
