Man stabbed outside bar in Niagara Falls

One man remains in critical condition after being stabbed outside of a bar overnight in Niagara Falls.
R Bar and Eatery at 5926 Main St. attracted a significant police presence in the early hours of this morning (Aug 20) after a stabbing was reported outside of the bar.
Niagara Regional Police responded to R Bar and Eatery near Ferry St. at 3:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a man being stabbed.
Upon arrival, police discovered Niagara EMS paramedics treating a male victim with serious stab wounds.
The victim was transported to a trauma centre outside of the Niagara Region where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives from 2 District have assumed carriage of the investigation with the assistance of the Forensic Services Unit.
The investigation is in its early stages and there is currently limited information.
Police believe the suspect may have fled the area in a dark-coloured SUV or sedan.
