Man pulled from Lake Ontario’s chilly waters in Oakville has died

Despite the best efforts of emergency services personnel, a man who was pulled from Lake Ontario in Oakville yesterday has died.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 1, the man was pulled from the water by Halton police marine unit near Nelson and Ontario Sts. at Bronte Heritage Park.

He was transported to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital without vital signs where he was pronounced dead.

Police are not releasing the name or age of the man.
