Man pronounced dead after being struck by GO train in west Hamilton

One person is dead after being fatally struck by a GO train in Hamilton on Monday.
Shortly before 5 p.m. on April 3rd, Hamilton police responded to a report of a man walking on foot when he was struck by a train in the area of Main Street West and Dundurn Street South.
The man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police say they’re continuing to investigate the incident, which they have deemed non-suspicious.
The victim has not been identified at this time but is described as a 37-year-old male. Police say next-of-kin have been notified.
Emergency personnel and investigators attended the scene shortly after the collision, forcing passengers to exit the train at Aldershot GO station and transfer to a GO bus.
The tracks were cleared and reopened shortly after 8 p.m.
