Man in hospital with life-threatening injuries after early morning stabbing in Whitby

Investigators are looking for a suspect after a stabbing early Friday morning in Whitby that left a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Central West Division officers responded to a stabbing incident near Dunlop St. E and Brock St. S at 6:30 this morning, where they found a 51-year-old male with serious stab wounds. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

The suspect, who is described as a short male with a small build and wearing all black clothing, had fled eastbound on Dunlop Street.
