Man and woman seriously injured in overnight shooting in Brampton

Officers are investigating a shooting that seriously injured two people in Brampton.

At 4:34 a.m. on Sunday, police were called for shots fired in the area of Ray Lawson Blvd and Bent Tree Ct, south of McLaughlin.

Two people, a man and a woman, were shot and sustained serious injuries.

Police say the suspects are on the run and no longer in the area.

No suspect description has been provided at this time.

A heavy police presence remains on the scene. More info to come.
