After months of construction chaos, Locke Street is starting to emerge from beneath the dust.
After months of construction chaos, Locke Street is starting to emerge from beneath the dust.
The city of Hamilton announced Friday (Sept. 20) that a portion of Locke Street, between Main and Bold streets will reopen Monday (Sept. 23) around 7p.m. for traffic and on-street parking.
The rest of the street, from Bold to Herkimer, will remain under construction throughout October.

This will undoubtedly come as a relief for businesses along the popular thoroughfare who have had not only had to contend with this summer’s extensive construction project but last summer as well.
Businesses along the street are celebrating their light at the end of the tunnel with the Eat Well, Be Well street party Friday night from 6 to 10 p.m.
Food, drinks, wellness activities and live performances are planned for the long-anticipated community celebration.
