Held annually since 2004, the Mississauga Marathon has become one of Canada’s premier running events, organizers say.

Various marathon events take place throughout the weekend, but the main attraction–the 42-kilometre Mississauga Marathon–goes Sunday morning (May 1).

Starting at Celebration Square in the city’s downtown core, the scenic full-marathon course will take participants on a fast, challenging route that includes a cross-over of the Credit River to Mississauga Rd.
