Major bus routes in Brampton are about to change

Starting on Monday, Oct. 27, changes are being made to several bus routes in Brampton.

According to Brampton Transit, the changes are geared to improving service reliability and accommodating the changing needs of commuters.

Changes will be seen on routes and the timings of stops.

501 Züm Queen

  •     Saturday schedules adjusted to improve service reliability.
  •     Saturday day service frequency adjusted to 16 minutes.

1/1A Queen

  •     Weekday schedules adjusted to improve service reliability
  •     Weekday service frequency adjusted to:
    • a.m./p.m. peak: 11 minutes.
    • midday: 16 minutes.
    • early evening: 22 minutes.
    • late evening: 35 minutes
  • Last eastbound trip at 1:03 a.m. from Mount Pleasant GO Station will arrive at Highway 50 and Ebenezer Road at 2:19 a.m.
  • Last westbound trip at 1:50 a.m. from Highway 50 and Ebenezer Road will arrive at Mount Pleasant GO Station at 3:13 a.m.

17 Howden

  • Weekday schedules adjusted to improve service reliability.

18 Dixie

  • Weekday schedules adjusted to improve service reliability.
  • Weekday service frequency adjusted to:
    • a.m. peak: 8 minutes.
    • p.m. peak: 10 minutes.
    • midday: 17 minutes.
    • early evening: 10 minutes.
    • late evening: 20 minutes.
  • Last northbound trip at 2:04 a.m. from Dixie Road and Meyerside Drive will arrive at Dixie Road and Mayfield Road at 2:53 a.m.
  • Last southbound trip at 2:04 a.m. from Dixie Road and Mayfield Road will arrive at Dixie Road and Meyerside Drive at 3:03 a.m.
