Oshawa’s newest millionaire plans to use her windfall to help others and finally get a “place of her own.”

Emma Little, a 27-year-old who had only bought ten lottery tickets in her life, got lucky on ticket #11, winning $1 million by matching all seven Encore numbers in the August 27 Lotto 6/49 draw.  “I bought this ticket on OLG.ca because my coworker had just won a nice prize, so I thought I’d try it out,” she said.

While at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings, Little said that she intends to make sure the people around her are taken care of and to do some travelling.

And that place of her very own as well.

“I’ve never had my own place before, so it’ll be nice. I’ve also never travelled outside of Canada, so I’d like to do some travelling. I really want to go to Jamaica.”

The winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
