Lotto 6/49 jackpot won in this province in Canada

Someone became a lot richer over the weekend in Canada.

One ticket matched all six numbers in the Lotto 6/49 classic draw.

That means the ticket holder(s) will take home the $5 million classic jackpot.

That ticket was sold somewhere in Alberta, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

Other than the jackpot, no one got five out of six numbers plus the bonus in the classic draw to win the second-place prize of $137,452.90.

For the gold ball draw, a white ball was pulled, meaning a $1 million prize was handed out instead of the jackpot.

A ticket sold in Ontario won that prize.
