After months of anticipation, a well-known and much-loved ramen chain is finally open in Brampton.

As of Monday, Kinton Ramen is having a soft opening of its new Brampton location at 2880 Queen St. East as staff prepare for the official grand opening on Sept. 23.

The ramen specialist got their start decades ago at their Baldwin St. location in Toronto and has since expanded with restaurants in the GTA, B.C., Chicago, Quebec and more.

Kinton makes their ramen using pork bone stock, chicken stock, fish broth and vegetable broth, cooking the pork and chicken bones for over 20 hours for a strong, rich flavourful soup.

Staff at Kinton in Brampton tell Insauga.com that the restaurant is currently open during the soft opening for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and again for dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Once the grand opening is complete, dining hours will be from 11:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. daily.

Customers can choose between spicy or mild ramen with thick or thin noodles, and plenty of toppings like scallions, bean sprouts, seaweed, mushrooms, a seasoned egg, and much more.

There are also Japanese street food favourites to try like karaage fried chicken, gyoza dumplings and takoyaki balls.
