Oakville North-Burlington MPP Effie Triantafilopoulos is getting into the spirit of Canada Day with several events planned for her riding.

The third annual Canada Day Drive-by Parade will celebrate frontline healthcare heroes and show appreciation to seniors is being held July 1 in both Burlington and Oakville.

There are going to be two separate parades, one for Oakville and one for Burlington. You are welcome to participate in both or just one.

For the Oakville parade, participants will meet no later than 10:15 a.m. at Triantafilopoulos’s Oakville constituency office at 2525 Old Bronte Rd and leave at 10:30 a.m.

The meeting for the Burlington parade will be at Tansley Woods Community Centre, 1996 Itabashi Way, and will be departing at 1:15 p.m.

The route will take us past long-term care and retirement homes in our community of Oakville North-Burlington.

On the day of the parade, maps of our route, which will go past long-term care and retirement homes, will be distributed. Organizers encourage participants to wear Canada Day spirit and adorn vehicles with Canada Day flags and other decorations

The parade will make a brief stop at each location to wish residents and their dedicated staff a Happy Canada Day. Please join us in singing our national anthem and greeting the seniors.
