Lobster Baron thriving as Pickering’s local fish monger

If you are a seafood lover the place to be is Lobster Baron in Pickering where delicious Lobster Rolls, fresh fish and mouth-watering seafood chowders are always the catch of the day.
What started out as a lobster wholesaler to the hospitality industry is now the local seafood market for the region with premium quality fish and shellfish arriving daily and speciality products like Lobster Mac and Cheese and East Coast Fish Pie made right on the premises.
The family-owned business, which thinks of itself as your neighbourhood fish monger, offers crab legs, New England and Manhattan-style chowders, calamari, shellfish of all descriptions and East Coast Lobsters, live or steamed.
Fresh fish, from local walleye and rainbow trout and Atlantic Salmon to Arctic Char, Black Cod and Red Snapper (with many others) are on the menu, Oysters are a regular happening and the Shrimp Po Boy sammy on a fresh roll will make you a true believer.
Speciality products include Shrimp and Scallop Lasagna, Crab Cakes and Lobster Bisque, along with Crab Dip, Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese and an abundance of sauces, from hot sauce, tartar, seafood and cocktail sauces to clam marinara.

Lobster Baron is located at 677 Marksbury Road, Unit 5 in Pickering, a stone’s throw north of Lake Ontario and just west of Frenchman’s Bay.
The store is open Tuesday to Friday 11-7, Saturdays from 11-6 and Sundays from 11-4. Lobster Baron is closed Mondays.
