Former Genesis lead guitar player Steve Hackett is coming to the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.

The solo artist, who has been performing to packed venues across Europe, announced his Genesis Revisited “Seconds Out” Tour will launch in Oakville on March 26 and March 27 in 2022.

Hackett will be performing songs from Genesis’ hugely successful live album, which was recorded from their concert at the Palais de Sport in Paris, France in June 1977.

The rock star will open the show with a variety of songs from his extensive solo career.

“I’m thrilled to bring Seconds Out back to life, featuring Genesis material at its most exciting and virtuosic,” Hackett said in a statement. “This time with all numbers played in full plus additional surprises!”
Seconds Out featured Hackett on guitar along with Genesis bandmates Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks and Phil Collins , who assumed the role of vocalist after the departure of Peter Gabriel.

Hackett’s tour includes songs from each of the six studio albums Genesis recorded when he was with the rock band.

Joining the guitarist on this tour will be Nad Sylvan (vocals), Roger King (keyboards), Jonas Reingold (bass), Rob Townsend (saxophone and flutes), and Craig Blundell (drums and percussion).

The Oakville dates are two of just the four Canadian stops on the 35-show tour, which wraps up on May 19 in Seattle.
