The Milton community has one week left to nominate local businesses and community members for a prestigious award.

From now until Mar. 31, the Milton Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the Community Awards, which celebrate businesses and individuals who have made contributions to the community through their involvement and leadership since 1981.

Categories for the awards include Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Franchise of the Year and Not-for-Profit of the Year.

Individuals may be nominated for either the above categories or community categories that include Citizen of the Year, Joyce Hagevik Volunteer of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

“Nominations for the @miltonchamber Community Awards end next Thursday, March 31. Don’t miss out on nominating a deserving business or individual,” said the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area (BIA) on Twitter.
