Crews were fighting a large industrial fire near Toronto Pearson Airport on Tuesday morning.

The three-alarm fire is at Disco Road and Carlingview Drive, near Highway 427 in Etobicoke, Toronto Fire said just after 5:30 a.m. The fire was later upgraded to a four-alarm blaze.

Reports indicate the fire broke out at a waste transfer site.

No injuries have been reported.

Emergency crews responded to the blaze just before 4 a.m., Toronto Police said.

Large amounts of smoke are in the area, possibly affecting visibility on Highway 427, police said.

Police asked people to use extreme caution when driving in the area.

There are road closures on Disco Road between Carlingview Drive and Highway 427. Atwell Drive is also closed.

Officials are expected to provide an update on the fire this morning.
