Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was reportedly out to dinner with pop star Katy Perry in Montreal.
Celebrity news site TMZ obtained a video, which appears to show the pair eating at the upscale Montreal restaurant, Le Violon, on Monday night.
In the video, shot through a mirror above the bar, Perry, 40, leans in as Trudeau, 53, gestures in conversation. People in the restaurant told TMZ they drank cocktails and shared several dishes, including one with lobster.
Trudeau, who resigned as Prime Minister on Jan. 6, 2025, separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The couple has three children together.
The former PM just posted photos of a trip to Switzerland with his son this week.
Perry, who has sold over 143 million records worldwide, is on The Lifetimes concert tour with dates in Ottawa on Tuesday, Montreal on Wednesday, Quebec City on Friday and two shows in Toronto on Aug. 5 and 6. She recently posted about getting ready for Canada on Instagram.
Previously married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, Perry split from her longtime partner, actor Orlando Bloom, in June. The couple had been together since 2016.
Trudeau’s father, former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, also enjoyed U.S. celebrity culture. He dated musician and actress Barbra Streisand briefly in the 1960s, and Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall.
