Saturday is expected to bring seasonal temperatures that could feel as hot as 30 C in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.
Environment Canada says the morning will start with mainly sunny conditions in Toronto, Mississauga, Oshawa and Pickering, with cloudier skies expected in Hamilton and Niagara Falls.
There’s a chance of fog patches in the early hours in the Niagara area, and the daytime high will be around 26 C but could feel more like 30 C to 32 C in the GTA due to the humidity.
The UV index will be an 8 or “very high,” the weather agency says. Saturday night is expected to be clear with a low of around 14 C in Mississauga.
Similar conditions are forecast for Sunday with sunny skies and a high of around 27 C before accounting for the humidex.
Looking ahead to next week, a multi-day heat event is expected to start Monday in parts of southern Ontario. Maximum temperatures from 31 to 34 C and humidex values in the low 40s are expected on Tuesday.
