After a smoky and unsettled start to the weekend in some areas, southern Ontario is expected to see brighter skies and more comfortable conditions on Sunday as cooler air moves in across the region.

Early risers hoping to enjoy a colourful sky alongside their favourite warm beverage are in for a treat, as the 5:49 a.m. sunrise will arrive under clear conditions.
Mississauga, Brampton and Durham will see lots of sunshine as the day progresses, with daytime highs rising to 24 C.
Halton will reach 23 C, while Hamilton is expected to climb to 24 C after morning clouds and local smoke give way to brighter conditions. Humidex values will hover between 26 and 27.
The UV index will hit 8, or very high, in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham.
Environment Canada recommends taking precautions when the UV index reaches 3 or higher, including wearing sunscreen, sunglasses and protective clothing, and limiting prolonged sun exposure during peak afternoon hours.

By evening, clear skies will continue across southern Ontario. Overnight temperatures will fall to 13 C in Mississauga, Brampton and Halton, 12 C in Durham and 14 C in Hamilton, making for a cool end to the weekend.
