Immersive theatre festival returns to Hamilton next week

Hamilton Fringe Festival returns to the city on July 19, with over 50 shows taking place across 10 venues  around the city, showcasing a wide range of performances for audiences of all ages and interests.

Since 2003, Hamilton Festival Theatre Company has been at the forefront of providing a platform for independent, emerging, and established theatre artists in the city.

The festival will showcase musicals, thought-provoking dramedies set in space, dance performances and ghost stories.

Organizers say, that they have curated a diverse lineup that “will amaze, surprise, and entertain attendees.”

Expressing his enthusiasm, festival Director Christopher Stanton said, “it’s no secret that the past few years have been challenging for the live performing arts community.”

“And while many challenges remain, there is nothing as heartening as the shared sense of joy, excitement, and discovery the festival brings to Hamilton each year,” Stanton added.

The festival’s  ‘kick off’  will take place at the Fringe Club Outdoor Stage, located outside Theatre Aquarius( 190 King William St). While the rest of the festival’s venues are scattered across the city including Casbah Lounge, Mills Hardware, Mosaic, The Staircase, Theatre Aquarius, and more.
