Get ready for at least one more blast of hot and humid weather in the Niagara Region.

Although the temperatures have been cooler this week, that is about to change on Sunday (Sept. 3) across the Niagara Region and in much of Ontario, according to Environment Canada.

The weather starts to get a bit warmer today (Sept. 1) and tomorrow temperatures will get up to around 26 C with possible rain and thunderstorms.

Then on Sunday, the hot weather starts with the humidity making it feel up to 41 C next week until Thursday morning.

“Humidex values will reach into the high thirties or low forties,” Environment Canada notes. “Remember to stay cool and drink plenty of water.”

By Thursday morning, the weather forecaster is predicting a cold front will move in and bring an end to the heat.

This Labour Day weekend there will be opportunities to cool off. But for many public, outdoor swimming pools such as the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club pool, this will be the final weekend open.
