A house fire broke out early this morning in Brampton.

The Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services reported that they were battling an interior blaze in the area of Bramalea Road and Queen Street East, shortly before 6 a.m.

The number of individuals inside the home during the fire remains unknown. However, fire crews have provided an update, confirming that one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officials have not released further information on the victim, including their age.

While the cause of the fire remains unclear, officials have stated that it is under control and they will remain on the scene to conduct further investigations.
