Hot temperatures to begin the week then seasonal in Mississauga and Brampton

Environment Canada warns residents of above-average seasonal temperatures expected in Mississauga and Brampton early this coming week.

It will remain sunny today (May 29) with partial clouds this evening, becoming clear as the night goes on, hitting a low of 15 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow, it will be clear in the morning with a southwest wind gusting to nearly 50 km/h in the early afternoon. The high is expected to reach 30 but feel like 35 degrees Celsius or more with the humidex.

The UV index remains very high on Monday. The evening will be clear and only drop to a low of 19 degrees Celsius overnight.

There will be lots of sun on Tuesday (May 31) with a high of 30 degrees Celsius, an unusually warm temperature for this date with a recorded average high reaching 21.2 degrees Celsius.

The temperature tapers off to more normal seasonal highs for the rest of the week.

Wednesday is projected to hit a high of 25 degrees Celsius, where Thursday (June 2) will have a high of 21 through the day and dip to 9 degrees Celsius as it gets clearer in the evening.

Friday brings a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high 20 degrees Celsius.
