Mississauga and Brampton residents are in for some hot and humid days as a chance of showers persists and temperatures climb into the 30s across the region this week.

Skies will stay cloudy for the rest of the evening tonight (Aug 1) with the risk of a thunderstorm looming. The wind is coming from a southwest direction at 20 km/h and gusting to 40 km/h at times.

The clouds will continue into tomorrow (Aug 2) morning. The temperature in the afternoon is expected to hit a high of 26 degrees Celsius, feeling like 31 with the humidex.

Tuesday evening will be clear and cooler, falling to low of 15 degrees Celsius overnight.

Wednesday (Aug 3) comes with a 70 per cent chance of showers expected and a high of 31 degrees Celsius.

While the temperature will actually be in the low 30s, it will feel closer to 40 degrees Celsius due to the humidity.

Thursday is similar with a 70 per cent chance of showers again and a high of 27.

The sun comes back on Friday with a mix of sun and cloud expected and a high of 26. The chance of showers is not entirely gone though with a 40 per cent chance lasting until Saturday (Aug 6).
