High that feels close to 40 C possible next week in southern Ontario

Hot and humid weather is expected in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario next week with highs that could feel close to 40 C.

The Weather Network says Monday will bring mainly sunny in the morning with increasing clouds in the afternoon, and a high of 27 C that will feel like 31 C due to the humidity. Temperatures will rise a bit on Tuesday and could feel more like 35 C, The Weather Network says.

But Wednesday could bring a high of 28 C that feels more like 38 C with the humidex. Conditions are expected to be muggy and humid with partly sunny skies in the morning, followed by a 40 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon.

Thursday’s high of 30 C is expected to feel as hot as 39 C in Mississauga and the GTA, and showers are possible throughout the day. Friday will bring a high of 29 C that could feel more like 37 C.

Seasonal normals for July are between 17 C and 27 C in Mississauga, according to The Weather Network.
