It was sweet news indeed in Mississauga when Forbes released its annual list of Canada’s Best Employers this week, with 11 companies named in the top 100, including the Hershey Company at number one.

The Explorer Drive Canadian headquarters for the iconic chocolate bar company (home to be the Hershey Peanut Butter Cup among other classic brands) took top honours in the survey, which asked employees to rank their employers based on how the companies’ met expectations.

The annual ranking is based on a survey of more than 40,000 people working for large Canadian companies that employ at least 500 people.

Survey respondents were asked to rate their employer based on salary, gender pay-equity, opportunities for promotion, work flexibility and on-the-job training. Participants were also asked if they would recommend their employer to others and were given the chance to rate other employers in their respective industries.

“Hershey Canada is proud to announce that it has been named the #1 company on Forbes’ prestigious list of Canada’s Best Employers 2024,” enthused a post from the company on social media. “The credit goes to our talented team members nationwide who passionately live our purpose each day. We are extremely proud and grateful to our extraordinary people for making Hershey Canada a rewarding, fulfilling place to build a career.”

“The future shines brightly thanks to our incredible employees.”
