Here’s a list of all the development cases Burlington has in front of land tribunal

The City of Burlington currently has 10 hearings in front of the Ontario Land Tribunal.

The OLT is a body that has final decision making power when municipalities and developers have disagreements about projects.

City staff recently gave Burlington Council an update on the active OLT hearings during a council committee meeting.

According to the memo, the list contains the following updates to active OLT hearings since the previous list from December.

Ward One

  • 40-70 Plains Road East has been removed from the list. A decision was provided by the OLT on January 23, 2023.

Ward Two

  • 2020 Lakeshore Road has been updated to reflect a Hearing Commencement Date of April 9, 2024.
  • 374-380 Martha Street has been added to the list with a Hearing Commencement Date of March 9, 2023.

Ward Three

  • 5235 Cedar Springs Road, and 2226 to 2479 No. 2 Side Road have been updated to reflect a Case Management Conference to be determined.
  • 1396 Guelph Line has been updated to reflect a Hearing Commencement Date of October 30, 2023.

Ward Four

  • 3500 Ketelbey Court has been updated to reflect a Hearing Commencement Date of March 21, 2023.
  • 3503 New Street has been updated to reflect a Hearing Commencement Date of March 10, 2023.
  • 516 Walnut Crescent has been added to the list with a Hearing Commencement Date to be determined.

Ward Five

  • 700 & 800 Burloak Drive has been updated to reflect the next Case Management Conference date of May 24, 2023.
  • 1989 Appleby Line has been added to the list with a Hearing Commencement Date to be determined.
