Here are the most expensive Airbnbs around the world ready for booking in 2026

Vacation spots for 2026 are already shaping up to be as pricy, according to a new report. 

Analysts with TradingPlatforms, a digital finance network, have been able to track Airbnb vacation home trends into the upcoming new year.

Out of 86 countries, the most lavish and expensive vacation homes for January 2026 showed similar characteristics, as Europe is currently leading international interest regarding the most sought-after Airbnbs in terms of amenities and prices, with a location in Italy taking the number one spot, with an asking price of over $60,000 per night. 

The second-place location in Mexico asks for nearly half of that.

In terms of other top contenders, here are the most expensive Airbnbs around the world ready for booking as of Jan. 2026, according to the research. 

  • Luxury Lake Garda View Resort, Gardone Riviera, Italy, asking price per night ($60,584): To call this his high-rolling property an Airbnb would do it little justice, as it is more compound than a vacation home. Dialing in at five accessible villas, this exclusive location comes with numerous luxurious amenities and options.
  • Casa Tau: A Luxury Villa, Punta de Mita, Mexico, asking price per night ($32,058): A beachfront villa featuring 12 ensuite bathrooms, this location is perfect if you have the chequebook — and social circle — to rent it and fill it up. 
  • Seven-Bedroom Ultra-Luxury Villa, Dubai, UAE, asking price per night (30,021): An elite villa for only elite wallets, this Dubai location focuses on high-end modern designs and amenities while “catering to guests seeking opulence and exclusivity.”
  • Country House, La Romana, Dominican Republic, asking price per night ($29,235): A massive villa that can accommodate 24 guests — roughly two soccer teams — this tropical location comes with its own private beach and is loaded to the brim with beachside amenities. 
  • Villa Riviera Serenity, Mae Nam, Thailand, asking price per night ($28,630): A five-bedroom villa in the middle of the jungle, this location this location is perfect for those looking to escape and reconnect with some nature you may have never seen before, that is if your bank account is also showing numbers you’ve never seen before. 
  • Villa Mirasol, Mali Lošinj, Croatia, asking price per night ($23,693): It’s a villa, it’s Art Nouveau, what more can you ask for on the Mediterranean?? Adjacent to Michelin-starred restaurants and spas, you’ll live like royalty, for the cost of a mid-sized sedan per night. 
  • Luttrellstown Castle, Dublin, Ireland, asking price per night ($22,275): Okay, expensive? Sure. But it’s a castle from the 15th century. 
  • Fantasia Villas, Katastari, Greece, asking price per night ($22,031): 2,000 square meters with three heated pools and a private beach, this villa practically belongs on Olympus, considering how much of a Greek god you’ll feel like while visiting. 
  • Middle Cay, North Eleuthera, Bahamas, asking rice per night ($21,050): Two villas ona a private island filled to the brim with amenities and beach access, perfect for those who truly want to get away from it all. 
  • Villa TOMAzo, Marrakesh, Morocco, asking price per night (17,478): Our cheapest on the list, this 10-bedroom villa in Marrakesh is perfect for those who love luxury and history, and above all else, not a steep price tag.
