One man has been airlifted to hospital and multiple roads have been closed following an early morning crash in Caledon.
Peel Public Works said shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Friday that the crash happened in the area of Mississauga Road, leading to multiple closures in the region.
A spokesperson for Peel Paramedic Services confirmed first responders treated an adult male at the scene who suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Paramedics then called in an Ornge air ambulance to transport the injured man to hospital in serious but stable condition.
The crash has led police to close a long stretch of Mississauga Road between Olde Base Line Road to Old School Road, while King Street has been shuttered from Creditview Road to Winston Churchill Boulevard.
Police have not said how many vehicles were involved in the crash and Peel Public Works has not indicated how long the closures are expected to be in place.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area while emergency crews are on the scene and should find alternate routes if possible.
