Heavy police presence in Hamilton neighbourhood after morning shooting
Police say shots were fired at a Crown Point West neighbourhood home with people inside.

Several police vehicles were in Hamilton’s Crown Point West neighbourhood after shots were fired at a home on Tuesday morning.

Around 4:50 a.m., there were reports of a shooting in the area of Cannon St. and Balmoral Ave. Detectives with Hamilton Police are asking residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between the hours of 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police. Anyone who was driving in the area and has dash camera footage that would be suitable for review should also contact the investigators.

No injuries have been reported.

Officers remained in the area Tuesday as they investigate.
