Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger will be tested for COVID-19 on Friday (June 26)

Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger will be tested for COVID-19 on Friday (June 26)

In a press release sent Thursday, the Mayor’s Office says Eisenberger has been experiencing symptoms associated with the disease.

The Mayor will be self-isolating at home until he receives his results, the release says.

The testing is being done out of an abundance of caution after the Mayor experienced several symptoms Thursday morning. Thursday’s virtual Town Hall was cancelled as a precaution.

Staff in the mayor’s office and those who have come into contact with him recently are monitoring themselves for any symptoms and will take appropriate action as necessary, the release says.

The Office of the Mayor will share the Mayor’s testing results when they become available.
