Hamilton woman’s Christmas gift nets her six figures lotto win

A retired health industry worker from Hamilton cashed in her Christmas gift and is six figures richer with her Instant Crossword Tripler win.
Laurie-Ann Sprague won $100,000.
“This ticket was purchased by my husband as a Christmas gift to me,” she shared at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
“I noticed I had six words, so I passed it to my husband to take a look. We both realized I won $100,000 and I started to cry and shake. It was the most incredible Christmas gift,” she said
Instant Crossword Tripler is available for $5 a play and the top prize is $100,000.

Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.61.
Laurie-Ann plans to save her winnings to enjoy a trip to Las Vegas next year.
The winning ticket was purchased at Welcome Mart on Barton St. in Hamilton.
