Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has been named the CFL’s Top Performer for Week 13.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has been named the CFL’s Top Performer for Week 13.

The Canadian Football League made the announcement Tuesday (Nov. 2).

Masoli, 33, completed 17-of-24 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns with a perfect 158.3 quarterback efficiency rating in Hamilton’s 39-23 win over the Elks in Edmonton on Friday night.

The 5-10, 215-pound native of San Francisco, California also added three carries for 26 rushing yards in the game. Masoli has now thrown for over 300 yards and at least two touchdowns with no interceptions in three consecutive starts.

Saskatchewan’s A.C. Leonard and Toronto’s Boris Bede, second and third in voting respectively, join Masoli as Week 13’s CFL Top Performers. The three players were chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office.

  • Simoni Lawrence – Week 7 (2nd)
  • Jeremiah Masoli – Week 13 (1st)

  • Simoni Lawrence – September (2nd)

The Ticats host the BC Lions Friday at Tim Hortons Field for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Hamilton trails the first-place Toronto Argonauts by one game in the CFL’s East Division with three regular season games remaining. The Ticats travel to BMO Field in Toronto to face the Argos next week.
