Police are searching for an armed suspect they believe is responsible for robbing a Hamilton Shoppers Drug Mart.

The suspect is accused of entering the Shoppers at Main St. West and Emerson St. on Nov. 16, across from McMaster University in the city’s west end.

Witnesses say the suspect was carrying a black “handgun-style” firearm.

The suspect is described as a five-foot-ten white male. He was captured on surveillance video wearing a black toque, a black North Face jacket with logos on the left breast pocket and rear right shoulder, a multi-coloured face covering, and black shoes.

He was seen leaving the Shoppers with a blue “grocery-style” bag.
